Why is the Kroger Liberal Party giving Bracks’ Muslim blasphemy laws a pass?
Gerard Jackson
And the latest from the Victorian Liberal Party on Bracks’ anti-free speech laws that favour bigoted Muslims is …. zilch. That’s right, folks, the Party is staying dumb — or should that be Dhimmi? — on the issue. But for the little people in the Party, all is not lost. Liberal MPs who have been emailed by disgruntled Party members have been assured that the issue of Bracks’ blasphemy laws is one of “deep concern”. (Gee, I bet that fiery response has put Bracks and his Muslim mates on the ropes).
Of course it never occurred to these MPs that what these correspondents wanted was something along the lines of: “We are outraged by Bracks’ attack on free speech and will do everything within our power to not only inform the public about the real nature of his so-called vilification laws but we also pledge ourselves repeal these assaults on free speech”. Fat chance.
Our loyal Muslim brethren are feeling so cocky that Sheik Fehmi El-Imam, the general secretary of the Board of Imams of Victoria, even had the bloody nerve to try and menace our newspapers into not publishing the Danish cartoons. And I do mean menace. Why is the Kroger Liberal Party allowing Muslim bigotry that strikes at one of our most fundamental rights to go unchallenged?
Meanwhile, terrific news on the electoral front: Mike Kroger not only has Julian Sheezel as state director (old news) he also managed to replace his ex with Russell Hannan, currently Party treasurer and a Costello supporter, replacing him in turn with Julian Glynn, a Melbourne investment banker. Yep, just what the Party hierarchy needs — another highly imaginative investment banker with the common touch and an indomitable will to defend our rights.
I seriously doubt if Mikey baby, or even Sheezel for that matter, would believe the number of emails I have had from disgusted Liberal supporters who are now calling the Party the Kroger Liberal Party. I have already received info from reliable sources within the ALP citadel, otherwise known as Parliament Place, that the Bracks’ junta is paralysed with fear. I even know for a fact that Bracks’ is preparing to flee to Beirut rather than fight the KLP. Yeah, right.
What a sorry situation. The “Jewel in the Liberal Crown” is now an ALP satrapy, and looks to remain so into the foreseeable future, while Kroger’s Toorak galere ghoulishly apportion themselves what remains of the Liberal Party corpse.
I very recently had a couple of interesting phone calls from people who wanted to share their knowledge of Mikey with me. Naturally I obliged them. And what fascinating stuff it is. One ALP caller, and someone in the know, pointed out how ridiculous the political situation is. Even if the “Libs cannot win the next election they should at least be able regain some of the seats they lost. If things stay the same it [the Libs] could end up as a permanent parliamentary rump”. This is not a tantalising thought to Liberal supporters.
Let’s consider some of the things that were discussed. First of all there is Bracks’ blasphemy law. Why isn’t Kroger and his mates going after it? It’s not as if they don’t have any ammo. Now nothing is for nothing with Bracks. This means there must have been a pay-off along the line. Gee, it wouldn’t have anything to do with the reactionary Islamic Council, would it?
It was this mob of religious bigots who used May Helou and the Orwellian Equal Opportunity Commission to viciously hound two Christian pastors for committing the abominable crime of quoting accurately from the Koran. (I wonder what Judge Mike ‘Vyshinski’ Higgins would have given them if they had misquoted?)
Did the Council’s spokesman Waleed Aly assure Bracks that the Council would herd the faithful into the ALP fold so long as Bracks would guarantee the virtual suppression of any criticism of Islam? As I said, I have had some very interesting conversations of late, not all of them about Kroger.
Talking about Bracks’ links to the dangerous Islamic Council reminds me of good ol’ Khalil Eideh who is the managing Director of his family-owned trucking company Blue Star Logistic. (His refusal to employ unionists has put the Socialist Left in a right snit). Khalil is a mate of Bracks and a prominent member of the Allawi Islamic Association in Melbourne.
The Allawi are a Shi’ite Muslim group members of which presently lord it over Syria. Could this account for Khalil’s support for Bashar Al-Assad, Syria’s brutal dictator and a sponsor of international terrorism? And why is Bracks trying to get this creep a safe seat? (Is any of this ringing bells with Mr Julian Sheezel?)
Isn’t it very strange that all of this, and much more, is flying below Kroger’s political radar?
There are plenty of other places where Bracks is vulnerable. His wasteful and ridiculous funding of highly expensive and grossly inefficient windmills for generating electricity. His refusal to build more dams. His phoney energy conservation policies that have driven up the price of housing. Outrageous taxes on new blocks of land and restrictive regulations that have further reduced supply of land and priced thousands more out of the housing market.
And then there is the Solomon Lew scandal. Out of the sheer goodness of his heart Bracks awarded Lew, a very old friend of Kroger’s, a virtual monopoly of certain goods related to the Commonwealth Games. A deal that, according to my sources, is estimated to be worth tens of millions of dollars. So what did dear old Solly promise Bracks? And why is the KLP keeping a low profile on this sordid arrangement? Who knows, maybe Mike will spare enough time from his house hunting in South Yarra to share his dilemma with us.
Bracks’ Muslim supporters are viciously attacking free speech with his full support and the KLP is doing nothing. Why? Kroger was once Solomon Lew’s expensive “attack dog”. If Kroger expended half the energy on fighting Bracks that he dedicated to trying to publicly humiliate and embarrass Ian Moir, Country Road’s CEO, Bracks would definitely be on the ropes.
Once again, Kroger, why are you allowing Bracks to get away with his pro-Muslim blasphemy laws? I think it’s time we got some answers.
