Shredding people is such fun

Alan Ramsey, aka Ali bin Ramsey, of the Bush-hating Sydney Morning Herald mocked reports about Saddam's torture machine. To support his contention that it was all propaganda he quoted from the discredited anti-American David Marr who hosts the ABC's risible Mediawatch.

Marr and Ramsey accused Prime Minister of Howard of "plagiarism" because he thinks that Howard took his case for war from Ken Pollack's The Threatening Storm. There is not a word of truth in this view.

It is also worth noting that both Marr and Ramsey deliberately ignored the fact that much of Howard's material on Saddam's methods of torture came from Amnesty International. (Incidentally, no one at Brookes can ever recall Marr or Ramsey condemning torture by the Saddam regime). The torture stories were confirmed by Ann Clywd, a leftwing British Labour MP, who had visited northern Iraq and interviewed some of Saddam's vicims.

Perhaps Ali bin Ramsey and David Marr also think that Ann Clywd is a liar, a hypocrite and a plagiarist.

As Saddam's sadistic rule finally draws to an end his anti-American allies in the media get more desperate.
